Northern Counties East Premier Division Result - Liversedge 0 Arnold Town 1 Admission £5 Attendence ?? Programme £1.20 - 40 pages not bad for this level 5/10
good game all round, smart little ground. the game was a tough encounter and many missed chances both sides, Arnold Town were possibly the better of the two but only because of the goal scored. Nice little club house selling various drinks, good food there also, the ground as a main stand and a smaller stand behind one of the goals, hard standing all round all in all a good day.
Monday 6th October 2008 the entrance to Colwyn Bay, along with the my travelling companions and mad Salford City fans
Unibond Division One Result, Colwyn Bay 1 Salford City 1 Attendence 297 Admission £6 Programme £1.50 - 44 pages, plenty of info, but too many adverts 8/10
Salford City in europe, that was the billing for this game i've followed Salford for a long time and this match i could not miss our first foray into Wales and what an enjoyable evening all round, excellent pitch one of the best i've seen, excellent ground, i had to laugh one end was closed because it had been invaded by around 40 sheep, who had left a very smelly present behind, it could only happen at non-league level, anyway, the hospitality was second to none, they had an excellent club house, a great club shop and food bar.
the game was a good game, Salford taking the lead and looking good, unfortunately like all Salford games this season we couldn't keep a clean sheet so 1-1 it was. Salford put up an excellent performance with many Bay supporters baffled as to why Salford are bottom of the league, and after this performance i have to agree with them, it won't be long in coming the move up the table if they play like this. so a great night all round. Colwyn Bay supporters flag with some dodgy reference to the Tudors??
Manchester Premier League Result, Prestwich Heys 1 Springhead 3 Attendence 45 Admission £2 Programme 24 pages, free with admission, 6 out of 10 excellent day again for football, so a trip to local club Prestwich Heys was on the cards, they play in the Premier division of the Manchester League and have been champions on many occasion, there looking to step up, but there's work to be done on the ground, anyway entertaining game this one with all the goals coming in the first half, with Prestwich looking the better in the first 10 mins, going ahead 1 nil, then a flurry of goals coming form Springhead totally transformed the game. So to the 2nd half, total contrast, hard fought but no real chances so the game ended 1 v 3 to Springhead, excellent day all round.
Saturday 20/9/08 Entrance to Bury FC and FC United
Result; FC United 0 Worksop Town 0 Attendence 2033 Admission £7.50 Programme 40 pages 10 out of 10, excellent programme
an excellent day for football, sun shining for a change, so it was off to FC United for a Unibond Premier game FC have come along way since there formation in 2005 and you can only admire what they have achieved so far, but in my opinion they have now reached a stage where it will be difficult for them to go further, with no sponsers, and not paying the wages that most players in whatever league want, be it right or wrong!!, so it would be interesting to keep an eye on the future for FC.
The game itself was an hard fought encounter, but a total lack of goal scoring chances at both ends.
The ground itself is looking pretty decent, obviously its Bury FC's ground with FC sharing,
Welcome to my new blog i hope you enjoy what i put here? and yes you guessed it, its a Ground Hopping blog site, basically i'll be posting all the games attended this season, which won't be that many if Royal Mail have there way!!, yes i work for HRH especially Saturdays and most evenings, mmmmmm not good for Ground Hopping, but i'll do what i can. So where better to start than my own local club Salford City FC, they play in the unibond div one and right now are bottom with 1 point, but doing well in cup comps, strange as they normally get knocked out right away, so here's the first post, cheers.

there's a club house selling your usual beverage, a limited club shop, tea bar, and a large standing area which dates back from the old rugby days played at moor lane.
